As a Bariatric surgeon Dr. Garza specializes in weight loss surgery. He performs laparoscopic procedures including Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass and Adjustable Gastric Banding. Dr. Garza is also a general surgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of a wide range of diseases and conditions which involve the endocrine glands, breasts, stomach, esophagus, pancreas, lower intestines, abdomen, chest, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, gallbladder, hernia, skin and vascular system.

Dr. Garza grew up in New Braunfels, Texas. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. His General Surgery residency was through the University of North Dakota. He completed a Mini-Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, where he received specialized training in Advanced Invasive and Bariatric Surgery.

Dr. Garza is married with three children. In his spare time, he and his family enjoy outdoor activities.
