GRMC is the only hospital in both the Austin and San Antonio regions* to receive this prestigious distinction, solidifying GRMC as both a local and national leader in Orthopedic services.

Additionally, GRMC is the only hospital in the Austin and San Antonio regions* ,out of 47 total hospitals, to be ranked among the top 5% in the nation for Overall Orthopedics in 2012 and the only recipient of the HealthGrades Orthopedic Surgery Excellence Award™ in 2012. The ratings from HealthGrades are based on objective publicly available data obtained directly from the Centers for Medicare Services and from all payer data obtained from states.

We're also 5-Star rated for excellence in gynecolgical surgery, making GRMC one of only three hospitals in the Austin and San Antonio Regions 5-Star rated for GYN surgery in 2011.This rating indicates that women being treated at GRMC have better outcomes in gynecological procedures than most other hospitals in the nation!
