Here are two delicious smoothies to celebrate healthy living:
Avocados and Bananas
Yes, we actually found a recipe that includes both avocados and bananas in one delicious smoothie. This Avocado Banana Smoothie is packed with nutrients to give you an extra energy boost! It’s only four ingredients and super simple to make—perfect for an afternoon snack.
1 avocado, pitted
1/3 cup spinach
1/4-1/2 cup water
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve chilled. Serves 2.
Give your smoothie an extra protein kick and add some beans. Beans? Yes! Try this Buttermilk Banana Bean Smoothie that only takes five ingredients and five minutes to make.
1 cup low-fat buttermilk
1 cup canned, drained and rinsed white kidney, navy, Great Northern or cannellini beans
1 frozen ripe banana
2 teaspoons honey
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve chilled. Serves 1.
Pour into a glass, add a straw and enjoy!
