Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)
GRMC has a new less invasive surgical option for chronic sinusitis sufferers, Balloon Sinuplasty. Balloon Sinuplasty allows the patient’s sinus passageways to be improved without cutting/removing the inner nasal tissue. Jennifer Hennessee, MD, board-certified ENT, threads a tiny balloon through the obstructed sinus opening. The balloon is inflated, expanding the sinus bones to restructure and enlarge the passageway. This is a revolutionary alternative to traditional sinus surgery that results in minimal pain and blood loss and allows the patient to return to work nearly immediately. Together, GRMC and Dr. Hennessee, have been designated as a “Sinus Center of Excellence” for the successful use of Balloon Sinuplasty.
