Laparoscopic Hysterectomies
GRMC offers laparoscopic hysterectomies, a new minimally invasive surgical procedure that uses small incision ports and advanced technological tools to safely remove the uterus. Laparoscopic hysterectomies have significantly less costs, recovery time, and scarring when compared to the traditional invasive open abdominal hysterectomy. For more information on laparoscopic hysterectomies, call GRMC’s experienced physicians Dr’s George Mannel and Alyson Kirchner at 830-372-0600. Endometiral Ablation
GRMC offers a solution to women who experience excessive menstrual bleeding. Most women assume that it’s normal to have heavy periods. A surgical procedure, Endometrial Ablation, reduces menstrual flow to normal or less than normal. Endometrial Ablation has a 90 percent success rate for reduction to normal or less than normal menstrual flow and forty to 70 percent of women have their periods stop altogether. This procedure can only be performed on someone who no longer wants to give birth and is most commonly used among women ages 35 to 45. Endometrial Ablation is a simple outpatient procedure and takes about 15 minutes. Generally, patients can return to work the next day. Also, Endometrial Ablation may relieve symptoms of PMS. Many women also have more energy and less anxiety after the procedure. For a list of participating surgeons, please contact our Physician Referral Line at 830-303-4846.
