The Heritage Program for Seniors
An outpatient mental health program which provides comforting and supportive counseling services to encourage and benefit seniors who experience prolonged period of sadness, anxiety or unresolved grief. Under the direction of a board-certified Psychiatrist, the program’s multidisciplinary team provides individual, group, and family therapy.
The Heritage Program also provides free transportation for patients from their homes to their GRMC appointments.

Teddy Buerger Center (TBC)
TBC is the only licensed treatment center in Guadalupe County and has been offering outpatient chemical dependency and mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults since 1992. The road to recovery can begin with professional counseling and we offer group and individual sessions. All TBC services are confidential. The facility is licensed by The Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (TJC) and The Texas Department of State Health Services (TDH).

The following are primary services offered by TBC:

  • Outpatient Mental Health Services – provides individual, marital, and family counseling and therapy. Commonly addressed issues include depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, grief, abuse, marital issues, trauma and stress.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – provides a cost-effective alternative to businesses so they can provide short-term counseling to employees and their dependents, as well as a 24-hour help line.
  • Chemical Dependency Services – TBC provides comprehensive outpatient treatment for individual and families struggling with addiction. Chemical dependency is a disease that can be treated, and recovery is available to individuals regardless of their drug of abuse.
    • The Intensive Outpatient program is a 10-week program that includes group sessions three nights a week and an individual session once a week. Group sessions are held on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
    • The Supportive Outpatient Program is a 16-week program that includes one group session each week and at least two individual sessions per month. Group sessions are held on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Family members are encouraged to participate.
