Description of Program
This CPR course is for the layperson to learn CPR, AED use, and First Aid procedures. This course teaches lay rescuer how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies with adult, child and infant victims.
Intended Audience
The Heartsaver & First Aid Course is specially designed to train anyone who might be the first to respond in the workplace or community, and can be tailored to address the needs of a specific workplace or group employees.

Basic Life Support Health Care Provider CPR (Initial Certification)

Description of Program
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO).
Intended Audience
Healthcare providers, medical or nursing students in training, police officers, and other allied health personnel in a wide variety of settings.

Recertification Course
Prerequisite: Unexpired AHA Healthcare Provider Course card, or unexpired American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Course card.
Program Fee: $30.00
Materials Fee: $11.00 recommended, but not required
Time: Day & Evening classes lasting approximately 3 hours

Description of Program
Provides a review of the Healthcare Provider class and skills testing for those who have unexpired Healthcare Provider Course cards or unexpired American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Course card. Student should bring book obtained in initial BLS course.
Note: If skills test is not passed, full day Healthcare Provider course will be required ($45 fee).
