I am a Physician
The Seguin medical community is unique in many ways. Guadalupe Regional Medical Center is the only city-county hospital in Texas. We are a not-for-profit, non-corporate, community hospital licensed for 125 beds. The GRMC facility is one of the most spacious and elegant in the San Antonio region, and a $19 million construction project is currently underway. This two-year project will provide a new state-of-the-art surgical floor, with a dialysis suite, new Cath lab and operating room, as well as birthing center enhancements.
At GRMC, we focus on empowering our staff to strive for the best possible care with each life we are privileged to touch. We were voted Best Place to Work by the Seguin Gazette in 2015 and 2016. Most recently, we were recognized for earning the highest safety grade for hospitals as measured by the Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety business. GRMC was one of 844 hospitals, and only one of six in a 50 mile radius, to receive an “A”, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 30 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to measure safety in more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice per year.
There are approximately 100 active medical staff members, practicing in over 35 different specialties, at GRMC who live and practice locally. A hallmark of our medical staff has been and continues to be strong unity and dedication to patient care. To maintain this culture, we are very selective in bringing in physicians who share our commitment for community, collaboration and high quality patient care… summed up in our position statement of “Advanced Medicine. Personal Touch.”
