For over 20 years, Guadalupe Regional Hospice Services has provided quality hospice care to individuals with a terminal illness. With hospice, we focus on assisting our patients and families with pain, stress and anxiety surrounding end-of-life and end-of-life care.
We understand that both the patient and family members need support and reassurance during this trying time. As a result, we provide:
- Skilled nursing care
- Pain management and symptom control & management
- Emotional support and spiritual support
- Personal Care
- Observation and assessment of patient needs
- Assistance with daily routines or activities
- Caregiver education
- Guidance on end-of-life decisions such as advanced directives, do-not resuscitate orders and funeral planning
- Bereavement support and grief counseling

Medical Director – GRMC’s Hospice physician works collaboratively with the patient’s primary care physician, contributing to care focused on quality and comfort.
Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse – Our RN’s and LVN’s provide hands-on, personalized care during each visit. Services range from managing medications and supplies, to answering family and patient questions – our nurses are the core of our hospice team.
On-Call Nurse – A staff nurse is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To contact our on-call nurse, please call (830) 379.2411.
Aides – Hospice aides at GRMC focus on a patient’s personal care and ensuring the patient is as comfortable as possible to make the patient’s day brighter.
Trained Volunteers – Our volunteers are dedicated to providing direct supportive care to patients allowing caregiver’s time to rest and take care of other responsibilities.
Social Services – Our social services provides specialized counseling to meet the emotional needs of both patient and family members.
Spiritual Care – GRMC’s chaplains respect each patient’s personal beliefs and are available to all hospice patients.
Bereavement support – Family and loved ones are just as important to us as the patient. That’s why at GRMC Hospice, we assist surviving family members in finding healthy outlets for emotional healing.
In-patient care – If pain or other symptoms worsen, we will submit the patient to a general in-patient care facility until the patient’s condition is manageable and tolerable.
Medical supplies, equipment and prescriptions – All medical supplies, equipment and prescriptions needed to properly care for the patient will be provided by GRMC Hospice.
Respite care – Inpatient respite care will be given to the beneficiary when necessary to relieve the family members or other loved ones. This care is provided occasionally and any number of situations may require respite care.
