Outpatient Rehab

Outpatient Rehab

Guadalupe Regional Medical Center outpatient therapy consists of experienced, licensed and caring individuals. The highly qualified team helps to improve physical function and reduce pain through more than 20,000 patient encounters each year. We offer one-on-one comprehensive outpatient therapy services in a spacious and comfortable setting. Therapy services include physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

Our goal is to develop a personalized rehab plan that best suits each individual and focuses on managing your condition. A written referral is required to undergo a therapy evaluation. Referrals can be provided by your doctor, as well as a physician assistant and/or a nurse practitioner.

What to Expect

Upon receiving a referral, patients will be scheduled for an initial evaluation. With the information obtained during the evaluation process, our staff will develop an individualized treatment plan. Our staff works with your physician throughout the entire plan of care:

  • Evaluative findings
  • Treatment recommendations
  • Long-term goals
  • Ongoing patient progress reports

Patients will also be instructed in a home exercise program and ongoing education to continue the recovery process independently or prevent further reoccurrences. Depending on the severity of the illness or injury, patients are seen between 2-3 times per week for 2 to 6 weeks. This time may vary depending on individual needs. The initial evaluation is completed within 1 hour, and treatment sessions are 45 minutes.

Who Qualifies

A written referral is required to undergo a therapy evaluation. Referrals are typically provided by your doctor, but may also be written by a physician assistant or nurse practitioner. Chiropractic referrals are not accepted. Referrals from practitioners outside of our local service area are accepted.
