Outpatient Rehab

Guadalupe Regional Medical Center offers comprehensive outpatient rehab center and therapy services in a spacious and comfortable setting. Our 15,000 square foot facility houses a large rehabilitation gymnasium, six private treatment cubicles, 20 x 30 heated aquatic therapy pool and hot tub, locker rooms and private restrooms/showers.

Our facility is staffed by an experienced, licensed and caring outpatient rehab team. The team helps to improve physical function and reduce pain through more than 15,500 patient encounters each year.

Our goal is to develop a personalized rehab plan that best suits each individual and focuses on managing your condition. A written referral is required to undergo a therapy evaluation. Referrals can be provided by your doctor, as well as a physician assistant and/or a nurse practitioner.

What to Expect

Upon receiving a referral, patients will be scheduled for an initial evaluation. With the information obtained during the evaluation process, licensed staff will develop an individualized treatment plan and work with the patient to develop treatment goals.

Our staff works with your physician throughout the entire plan of care for:

  • Treatment recommendations
  • Long term goals
  • Ongoing patient progress reports

Patients will also be instructed in a home exercise program and ongoing education to continue the recovery process independently, or prevent further future recurrences.

Depending on the severity of the illness or injury, patients are seen between 2-3 times per week for 2 to 6 weeks. This time may vary depending on the individual needs of each patient. The initial evaluation will be scheduled for one hour. Follow up treatment sessions are typically 45 minutes.
