Guadalupe Regional Medical Center (GRMC) is proud to commemorate Texas’ COVID-19 Heroes and Memorial Day in recognition of the extraordinary efforts and sacrifices made by health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.  In 2023 the Texas legislature passed House Bill 2166 designating March 4th as COVID-19 Heroes and Memorial Day.  March 4th was the date of the first reported COVID-19 case in Texas in 2020.

GRMC, in conjunction with the City of Seguin and Guadalupe County officials, aims to honor and celebrate the frontline health care workers and other essential workers who demonstrated unwavering bravery in the face of a global pandemic and memorialize the 95,000 Texans who died of COVID-19.

GRMC recognizes the contributions and sacrifices of our healthcare professionals, first responders, and local officials who played crucial roles during the COVID-19 pandemic both within the walls of GRMC and within the community of Seguin and the surrounding areas”, said Robert Haynes, Chief Executive Officer.

We invite the community to join Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in celebrating and acknowledging the local heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic and remember those who lost their lives to COVID-19.
