Guadalupe Regional Medical Center COVID-19 Update: July 23, 2020

 

As of July 23, 2020, Guadalupe County is reporting 1,632 COVID-19 cases in Guadalupe County (with 651 DSHS pending cases; and 981 confirmed cases). The total number includes 981 reported to Guadalupe County with 967 recovered and 8 active cases.

Numbers of COVID-19 Patients at GRMC: Currently GRMC has 26 hospitalized COVID-19 patients (including 3 patients receiving inpatient rehabilitation care that are COVID-19 positive and 4 patients transferred from other facilities). This number changes frequently.

GRMC’s 7 day moving average number of new COVID-19 hospital admissions per day is still at 4; this is a decrease from the prior average of 5 reported on July 17th, and 6-7 reported on July 10th. The 7 day moving average of COVID-19 hospitalized patients is 29; which is down from the prior average of 33 reported on July 21st, and 38 reported July 17th. This information represents average numbers from our facility alone.

Tropical Storm Hanna: GRMC staff are monitoring the potential impact of Tropical Storm Hanna on healthcare facilities to the East and South. GRMC is in touch with the Regional Health and Medical Operations Center (RHMOC) and South Texas Regional Advisory Council (STRAC) and is prepared to respond if help is needed.
