Guadalupe Regional Medical Center COVID-19 Update: September 8, 2020

As of September 8, 2020, Guadalupe County is reporting 2,144 COVID-19 cases. The total number includes 2,017 recovered and 25 active cases, and 60 cases “to be determined”.
DSHS changed the way in which reports COVID-19 cases to include a “To Be Determined” category. This category includes people who are not exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, have no epidemiological trace to a contact that tested positive for COVID-19, and have not received a PCR test. This category is reviewed by DSHS and moved to the active category if it meets criteria; if it does not meet confirmed criteria, the record is removed from the report.
