[Seguin, Texas] April 8, 2020 — The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Guadalupe County has risen to 45. Guadalupe Regional Medical Center continues to remain in a heightened state of preparation for a potential surge of COVID-19 cases.
Preparation of Off-Site Location for Potential Surge Capacity: GRMC, in partnership with local emergency management officials, has been actively exploring off-campus facility options for housing non-COVID-19 patients who require hospitalization in the event of a surge of COVID-19 patients. GRMC conducts a daily call with our emergency management team to review:

- Updates from Centers for Disease Control, the Texas Department of Health and Human Services, Texas Hospital Association, Orders from Texas Governor Abbott’s Office, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid guidance, and federal legislation on COVID-19; and
