At GRMC, we rely on our physicians and staff to serve our patients and community with the best possible health care, delivered efficiently and affordably.
Consider Guadalupe Regional Medical Center – Our 125-bed general acute medical and surgical hospital in beautiful South Central Texas is 30 minutes from San Antonio, an hour from Austin, and a short drive away from the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Located in Guadalupe County, GRMC serves patients from a high-growth eight county region. During the last decade, Guadalupe County's population increased from 89,023 in 2000 to 131,533 in 2010, a 48% increase. During the next decade, Guadalupe County’s population is projected to increase more than 30% and similar growth rates are projected for surrounding counties.
In October 2010, GRMC completed its transformation into an ultramodern health care complex designed to accommodate the region’s anticipated future growth. The $102 million project increased GRMC’s square footage to nearly 300,000, doubling the size of the Medical Center, expanding the hospital’s health care services, and providing a first-class environment for patients and physicians.
The “Physicians & Referral Line” link provides an overview of the broad spectrum and of more than 65 primary care, hospitalists, and specialists who provide integrated care to the region.
GRMC contributes more than $30 million per year to the local economy in salaries and benefits, more than $12 million in services for those unable to pay for health care, and nearly $20 million in community benefits.
