Seguin, Texas, December 15, 2025 – Guadalupe Regional Medical Center (GRMC) has been recognized as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Safety by the Women’s Choice Award®, placing it among the top-performing hospitals nationwide. This designation signifies that GRMC ranks in the top 14% of over 4,600 U.S. hospitals for patient safety in surgical practices and infection prevention.
“Not all hospitals can say they are among the safest in the country,” said Delia Passi, founder and CEO of the Women’s Choice Award®. “By identifying those that are, we help women make informed decisions about where to receive care—knowing they’re choosing a hospital that prioritizes safety and excellence.”
Why Patient Safety Matters
According to the CDC, hospital-acquired infections and surgical complications contribute to thousands of preventable deaths each year. Women, who make over 80% of healthcare decisions, need trusted resources to guide their choices—especially when it comes to protecting themselves and their families.
“The hospitals recognized for patient safety have implemented best practices that save lives,” added Passi. “This award is a powerful tool for women seeking care they can trust.”
Award Criteria
The Women’s Choice Award for Patient Safety is the only national designation that combines clinical performance, patient satisfaction, and women’s healthcare preferences to identify top-performing hospitals.
To qualify, hospitals must:
