Financial Assistance Programs
Healthcare services can be a costly investment. Eligibility for financial assistance is based on financial need and is provided to patients who meet program criteria.
Assistance through the Indigent Health Care Program is available for uninsured patients whose family’s gross income is below the current poverty level established by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Eligibility may be retroactive for a maximum of 90 days. Those wishing to establish eligibility and schedule an appointment for Indigent Health Care should contact the Indigent Health Care Coordinator at (830) 401-7217. A completed application for Health Care Assistance, Form 100, and the documents necessary to make an eligibility determination are required at the time of the Indigent Health Care appointment.

While GRMC accepts most major insurances, we also understand that maternity care may not be covered. Thus, qualified, uninsured families may be eligible for this program if payment is made in full by the time of the mother’s discharge.
The plan is designed for a normal, uncomplicated delivery at GRMC and for the routine care mother and baby receives during hospitalization. The Maternity Services Pricing Plan is not offered to families with Medicaid or other maternity insurance coverage. Any special amenities or accommodations may be subject to additional fees. For more information on our Maternity Services Pricing Plan, please call GRMC Patient Financial Services at 830.401.7874.
