Gretchen Hilt, MSN, CNM, APRN is a Certified Nurse Midwife who has been part of the Guadalupe Regional Medical Center team since 2006, when she began her career as a labor and delivery nurse. With a deep passion for women’s health, Gretchen is dedicated to empowering women through education and compassionate care at every stage of life.
She earned her Master’s degree in Nurse-Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky, a program nationally recognized for midwifery education. During her training, she completed more than 685 clinical hours working alongside experienced midwives in San Antonio, gaining extensive hands-on experience in caring for women throughout pregnancy and beyond.
As an advanced practice registered nurse, Gretchen provides comprehensive care for women from adolescence through menopause. Her services include gynecologic care, preconception counseling, pregnancy care, labor and delivery support, postpartum care, and guidance through perimenopause and menopause. She works closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure patients receive coordinated, personalized care.
Gretchen values the opportunity to build long-term relationships with her patients, supporting them through life’s many transitions—from their first gynecologic visits to starting families and beyond. She believes strongly in taking a proactive approach to health and helping women prioritize their own well-being so they can care for their families and communities.
