Dr. Kayla Ireland earned her Bachelor of Science at Tulane University, graduating magna cum laude with Honors in Neuroscience.  She received her medical doctorate from UT Health San Antonio and was awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and Marvin Forland, MD Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the UT Health San Antonio.  She joined the faculty at UT Health San Antonio and earned her Master of Science in Clinical Investigation and Translational Science.  Dr. Kayla Ireland is a Texas native and passionate about serving the women of her hometown.  Her current clinical and research interests include placenta accreta spectrum disorders and maternal safety and quality.
