American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians Announces the Certification in Health Care Quality and Management

 

[Seguin, Texas (January 3, 2020)] – The American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQAURP) is pleased to announce the recent certification of Guadalupe Regional Medical Center Hospitalist Medical Director, Juan Enrique Arenas Herrera, MD, CHCQM-PHYADV. Dr. Arenas passed the Health Care Quality and Management (HCQM) Certification Examination on October 05, 2019 in San Antonio, TX.

Dr. Arenas joins fellow Diplomats of ABQAURP who, for 40 years, have shown their commitment to, and specialized focus on, quality care and patient safety; distinguishing them from their colleagues by becoming HCQM Certified.

About Juan Arenas, MD, CHCQM-PHYADV

Guadalupe Regional Medical Center Hospitalist Medical Director, Dr. Arenas, is board certified in internal medicine and Health Care Quality and Management. He completed medical school and a residency as a general surgeon in Venezuela. After moving to the United States, Dr. Arenas spent two years as a research fellow at Wake Forest in North Carolina, followed by a second residency in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University.
