Guadalupe Regional Medical Center COVID-19 Update: August 12, 2020

 

As of August 12, 2020, Guadalupe County is reporting 1,952 COVID-19 cases in Guadalupe County (including 434 DSHS pending cases and 1263 confirmed cases). The total number includes 1691 recovered and 261 active cases.

Numbers of COVID-19 Patients at GRMC: Currently GRMC has 9 hospitalized COVID-19 patients (and an additional 2 patients receiving inpatient rehabilitation care that are COVID-19 positive). This number changes frequently.

GRMC Number Trends: GRMC’s 7 day moving average number of new COVID-19 hospital admissions per day is still at 1. The 7 day moving average of COVID-19 hospitalized patients is 14. These numbers have stayed the same from our August 6, 2020 press release. This information represents average numbers from our facility alone.

Patient Tower Entrance: GRMC Patient Tower Entrance is now open from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday for patients coming to GRMC for surgical procedures. Patients will be subject to screening for COVID-19 exposure and symptoms and will be required to wear a mask. GRMC will continue the no visitor policy, except for certain situations, pursuant to the extension of the Health and Human services emergency rule.
