Numbers of COVID-19 Patients at GRMC: Currently GRMC has 33 hospitalized COVID-19 patients (a decrease from yesterday’s 39 COVID-19 admissions). This number changes frequently.

The 7 day moving average number of new COVID-19 hospital admissions per day is 5. This is a decrease from the prior week’s 7 day moving average of 7 new COVID-19 hospital admissions per day. The 7 day moving average of COVID-19 hospitalized patients this week is 38; this is similar to the prior week’s 7 day moving average. The daily range of total COVID-19 hospitalized patients has been 33 to 44.

Contacting a Family Member in COVID-19 Unit: In the interest of safety for patients and our staff, GRMC is not allowing visitors for COVID-19 patients at this time. Given this, we understand that communication with families is important and are modifying our communication plans to meet this need. Due to the volume of patients and resources required to care for COVID-19 patients, GRMC requests that families assist us with the flow of information by designating one family member as the “family spokesperson” to receive updates from GRMC staff about your loved one; this spokesperson can then share updates with other family members.

The designated family spokesperson will hear from a care team member daily for regular updates or more frequently if the patient’s condition or treatment changes significantly.
