Guadalupe Regional Medical Center COVID-19 Update: March 8, 2021

Currently GRMC has 8 hospitalized COVID-19 patients. GRMC’s 7 day moving average of new COVID-19 admissions is 1 per day and the 7 day moving average for COVID-19 hospitalizations is 9 per day.

Governor Abbott’s Executive Order GA-34: Last week Governor Abbott announced that as of March 10, 2021 the Texas orders requiring masks to be worn in businesses and limiting business occupancy to below 100% will no longer be in effect. The new order allows businesses to determine whether they choose to require employees and patrons to mask and encourages personal responsibility for social distancing and face coverings.

Guadalupe Regional Medical Center will continue to follow CDC guidance for healthcare settings and require masks for the protection of our patients and our healthcare workers. GRMC will continue to require that masks be worn by all staff and visitors within the building and will continue with current screening practices and visitor restrictions per the HHSC emergency rule.

Vaccine Information: GRMC continues to partner with Guadalupe County and the City of Seguin to request and distribute COVID-19 vaccines to the community. Information will be distributed to the public via joint press release when the State allocates additional vaccines.
