Dr. Bulathsinghala was born and raised in Sri Lanka and graduated from Colombo medical faculty at the University of Colombo. Dr. Bulathsinghala graduated from the residency program at Yale affiliated Danbury Hospital in Danbury CT and subsequently completed a pulmonary/critical care fellowship at the University of Connecticut, Farmington/Hartford, CT.
After finishing the fellowship, Dr. Bulathsinghala practiced pulmonary/critical care in Corpus Christi, Texas for about 5 and half years. While in Corpus Christi, Dr. Bulathsinghala enjoyed teaching medical residents from emergency medicine, internal medicine, and family medicine residency programs, and helped to establish the pulmonary and critical care fellowship program in Corpus Christi. Dr. Bulathsinghala was the first associate program director for the pulmonary and critical care fellowship program. Dr. Bulathsinghala has been practicing pulmonary medicine with Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates of San Antonio, in San Antonio, Texas since 2020. Since 2021, the practice expanded to the I-35 corridor, as well, providing comprehensive pulmonary care for patients in San Antonio, New Braunfels, San Marcus, and Seguin.
Dr. Bulathsinghala has also enjoyed teaching medical students from University of Incarnate Word and has been fortunate to provide comprehensive pulmonary care to patients not only by providing general pulmonary medicine, but also by doing a number of interventional pulmonary procedures such as endobronchial ultrasound, navigational bronchoscopy, and robotic bronchoscopy.
