Understanding what is happening inside your body is the first step to making you feel better. Our diagnostic services offered to patients – even after hours – are the tools needed to properly determine your condition and begin the road to recovery. From lab work and laboratory services to imaging and sleep studies, our goal is timely results.
Some diagnostic services require a prescription from your doctor and depending on your test you may be required to schedule an appointment. For tests such as x-rays and blood-work, you may simply walk-in for service. Please be sure to obtain all referrals and bring prescriptions or doctor’s orders if you are making the appointment yourself.

At GRMC lab services play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your physician may order you a specific lab to get a better understanding of your health. You don’t have to go to a laboratory clinic. GRMC also offers:
- Employment related examinations; including drug screening and breath alcohol testing are available

Infusion therapy involves the administration of medication through a needle or catheter. It is prescribed when a patient’s condition is so severe that it cannot be treated effectively with oral medication. Infusion therapy is available for both hospitalized patients, as well as those who do not require hospitalization but need to receive treatments on a regular or infrequent basis.

GRMC understands the importance of a good night’s sleep to your health. If you or a loved one has trouble sleeping, it can affect productivity, your mood, and even lead to serious health conditions and syndromes. The Sleep Center at GRMC – in conjunction with South Texas Sleep Diagnostics – is a program that offers a comfortable environment for the diagnosis of:

- Restless leg syndrome

Meet the Physician
Dr. Marc Franklin is a board-certified otolaryngologist, specializing in all aspects of general otolaryngology, with specific interest in pediatric and adult sinus disease, Parotid and thyroid gland tumors, hearing and balance disorders and management of sleep disorders. Dr. Franklin is a native Texan and completed his medical degree and residency training in Otolaryngology through UT Medicine-San Antonio.
His vast education, knowledge, and experience allow him to provide his patients with superior health care. He is also known for his empathetic bedside manner and for tailoring care to address the individual needs of each patient.
